Here’s how it goes

he’ll say something

and I’ll say something back

he’ll write something

and I’ll reply something back

he’ll smile at me

and I’ll smile back

I’ll kiss him

and he’ll kiss me back

we’ll laugh about it

and then hold hands

I twirl

Twirling
the breeze
plays with the skirt
of my dress
lifting the fabric
like petals blossoming
I feel like a flower
except I’m free
to jump over puddles

timeline

I know
What’s happening

How time
Keeps passing

Each second
Accounted for

There’s a distance
Between us

A time and space
We can’t bridge

You’re ahead
And I’m here

Despite each step
I can’t get any nearer

But what if we took off
Our watches

And stepped off
This timeline

the invisible nothing

I fight
every day
against
the nothing
that invisible loss
of hope
that makes
everything I built
crumble
into darkness
some days
are easier
than others
some days
I make it
to others
but everyday
is an invisible
struggle

Sleep and dream

My eyes flutter
As the room pinks with sunrise
Calming morning showers
Soothe me back to sleep
And I curl
Back to the warmth
Of my dreams
Where you hold me
